SERENE's solo performances have been described by The Paris Review as a “spectacle to match the New York Philharmonic”, and despite having never attended conservatory, she has developed a wide-ranging repertoire from Bach to Ligeti, and performs many concertos including Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3.

Previously, Serene was also a self-taught coder and technologist — as a teenager, Serene was hired as a Google Engineer & Researcher where she started working on internet freedom technologies, before moving on to focus on music, to cultivate a unique, disciplined, spiritual approach to the piano. Combined with her intersection of many disciplines, she has grown an international following. Serene loves sharing the beauty and power of classical music with all audiences, everywhere, in all venues ranging from the Vienna Musikverein, to non-traditional venues such as Golden Gate Park or a decommissioned Boeing 747.


In 2022, SERENE's previous work as a technologist ended up being critical for communications and internet freedom within crisis zones during the advent of the Ukraine War, and this resulted in her founding the technology company Snowstorm Inc, which she oversees addition to concertizing.

The common theme across these seemingly disparate threads: freedom.
